A cultural project dedicated to the restoration, conservation and promotion of Spain’s historical, artistic and spiritual monastic heritage, with the aim of bringing these spaces back to life in a contemporary context while preserving the legacy of contemplative life.
Camino del Asombro promotes the restoration and reopening of monastic sites through cultural, educational, social and wellbeing initiatives, combining heritage conservation with the creation of museum spaces, accommodation, workshops and activities linked to traditional knowledge and crafts.
Its first major project is being developed at the Monastery of San Antonio el Real in Segovia, a 15th-century complex that reopened to the public in 2025 after being closed for four years. The initiative seeks to restore and showcase its artistic and cultural heritage while contributing to the revitalisation of the surrounding area and fostering new connections between these historic spaces and their local communities.
